I was walking back home from my institute when a guy tapped my shoulder from back and asked me the way of a street nearby. I politely gave the answer but he asked again - nahi nahi , main usss wali gali ki baat kr ra hoon. I dint understand.he started laughing looking at me n then i commemorated , their were 4 rapes reported on that street. i was horrified. He laughed loud and mockingly zipped-unzipped his pant. I ran back to home. But no doubt , m scared to go out even in the shops nearby. Moreover , i get these frequent calls from unknown guys who keep on calling. I have to keep my cell in flight mode the whole day. :(Additional Data

Avoid publishin ur personal no. on social websites n nvr giv it to unknow friends.guys tend to share it wit all their friends..better change thm immediately and nvr hav any conversation wit the strangers in public.

did u report it to the police ?.. u must if u hav'nt . always anticipate the possibility of such incidents ,ur immediate safety is in ur hands, either ensure that u r not travelling alone anywhere or carry a pocket knife or pepper spray for ur saftey . u shld also consider carrying an electrical teaser gun . U hav to stand up for ur self . if u must stab the S*n of a D*g to protect ur self then u must stab the S*n of a D*g . BE BRAVE BE STRONG. FIGHT FOR UR SELF . NEVER EVER GIVE UP.

having lived in Kota myself for 19years , i can certainly say that this would not be a one off incident. Kota and other towns in Rajasthan suffer from this malaise as much as any place in Uttar Pradesh for e.g. it gets worse for girl students from other parts of India who are not accustomed to such treatment.
I think the government should sell tasers on license only to girls.
